he acquisition brings decades of European nutritional science and patented OPC technology into LAC’s portfolio as the health and wellness brand continues its international expansion.
V3 Group Limited’s health and wellness supplements arm, LAC Global, has completed the acquisition of MASQUELIER’S® French Pine Bark Extract, bringing more than 70 years of European nutritional science into its portfolio.
By acquiring MASQUELIER’S® patented technology, LAC aims to combine its established scientific heritage with its Asian platform as it builds a mass-premium wellness proposition for consumers globally.
Rooted in the work of French scientist Professor Jack Masquelier, a pioneer in the research and development of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), MASQUELIER’S® is known for its proprietary extraction expertise and decades of research into the antioxidant properties of OPCs, supported by clinical studies.
“Health is becoming one of the defining priorities for consumers globally. People are living longer, but the opportunity is to help them live better,” said Ron Sim, founder and executive chairman of V3 Group.
“The acquisition of MASQUELIER’S® brings decades of European nutritional science into LAC, strengthening the scientific foundation of our portfolio. Singapore remains our home market, and we are grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us over the years. We remain committed to serving them through our extensive retail presence across Singapore’s malls, even as we take LAC into new markets and pursue our ambition to build a health and wellness brand born in Asia for consumers globally.”
Expanding LAC’s science-backed portfolio
MASQUELIER’S® is also the originator and trademark holder of MASQUELIER’S® Anthogenol, one of the more widely recognized OPC supplement brands across Asia Pacific.
LAC’s acquisition goes beyond a single product line by bringing the underlying intellectual property and scientific heritage behind the category into its portfolio. According to the company, MASQUELIER’S® French Pine Bark Extract has sold more than 250 million tablets to date, making it one of LAC’s most significant and enduring product platforms across its Asian markets.
Accelerating regional expansion
LAC has continued to expand its regional presence since the start of 2026, building on nearly three decades of organic growth across Asia Pacific.
The company currently operates more than 250 retail stores across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, with franchise operations in Mongolia, India, Indonesia, and Thailand. Its retail footprint is complemented by a growing e-commerce business, while LAC products are also available in selected markets across Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
The expansion forms part of LAC’s ambition to become a leading homegrown Asian health and wellness brand. Through its directly owned retail and e-commerce network, supported by continued product innovation, the company is expanding access to science-backed nutrition and supplementation across the region.
LAC is positioning itself to respond to rising demand for preventive health and everyday wellness solutions as ageing populations, greater health awareness, and increased wellness spending reshape consumer priorities.
Looking to new markets
LAC plans to deepen its presence in existing markets while pursuing additional growth opportunities across Asia Pacific and internationally. Alongside geographic expansion, the company said it will continue investing in product innovation and science-backed nutritional solutions focused on preventive health, healthy ageing, and changing consumer wellness needs.
As LAC’s parent company, V3 Group will continue supporting the brand through strategic capital, operational capabilities, and regional connectivity. Across its broader portfolio, the group remains focused on businesses with long-term growth potential and on building category-leading brands and platforms from Asia for global markets.
