    MobilityAll-new Toyota Land Cruiser launched

Toyota’s flagship SUV got a complete makeover with the introduction of the all-new Land Cruiser (LC200) last October 22, 2015. The premium 4WD SUV now comes in two choices: the standard LC200 and the LC200 Premium. Both are powered by the same 4.5-li direct injection, common rail system, twin turbo inter-cooler V8 diesel engine.

The LC200 Premium is packed with cutting-edge features such as vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control (A-TRC), hill-climb assist (HAC), multi-terrain select and “CRAWL,” the first and only driver-assist in its class to make rides safer and easier.

Both grades have been designed to look more aggressive and powerful, with its redesigned grill and bumper, new BI-LED headlamps, and LED front fog lamps. New rear combination lamps, chrome garnishes, and 18-inch alloy wheels complete the look. The LC200 Premium comes with a bumper overrider and a signature body stripe for a tougher stance.

Inside, the upgrade is evident in the new steering wheel design, meter gauge cluster with new 4.2” multi-information display, and overall center cluster design. The Premium grade comes with an audio-video navigation system and a 4-zone automatic climate control.

Both grades have illuminated door scuff plates plus a cool box storage. Additionally, the LC200 Premium features 8-way powered seats with driver memory and a power tilt + telescopic with memory steering adjust column. It also has a power moonroof.

Safety features such as airbags as well as speed-sensing power door locks are standard, while the LC200 Premium also has an active front headrest to reduce impact in case of a major collision.

Since it was first introduced in 1995 to local shores, the LC200 has been highly-regarded for its excellent reliability and premium features as a status vehicle. As Toyota Motor Philippines president Michinobu Sugata notes, “One cannot deny the prestige of the new Toyota Land Cruiser 200. With its more aggressive stance and additional innovative features, the latest model will do justice to the SUV’s long-standing heritage of reliability, luxury and authority.”

Pricing starts at PHP 4,422,000 for the LC200 4.5 DSi AT; PHP 4,437,000 for the LC200 DSi AT WP; PHP 4,845,000 for the LC200 Premium 4.5 DSi AT; and PHP 4,860,000 for the LC Premium 4.5 AT WP.

Available colors include white pearl, silver metallic, gray metallic, attitude black mica, dark red mica metallic, and beige mica metallic. Two new shades—dark blue mica and copper brown mica—are available on firm orders.
