The Philippine Parts Maker Association (PPMA), alongside the Department of Trade and Industry—Board of Investments (DTI-BOI), is soon to hold the first ever Philippine Auto Parts Expo (PhilAPEX) at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) on October 12-13, 2017.
Centered on the theme “Gawang Pilipino, para sa Pilipino”, thePhilAPEX will showcase local auto parts manufacturing capabilities; present the gains from the two CARS Program Participating Car Makers’ (PCMs) implementation of their respective investment plans; and provide the opportunity for B2B networking amongst part makers and vehicle manufacturers.
Following DTI’s earlier announcement of its efforts to jumpstart the development of the Philippine commercial vehicle sector through initiatives like the CARS’ 3rd slot budget allotment to eco-PUB manufacturing, PhilAPEX will also feature locally-developed eco-PUV prototypes for the DOTr PUV Modernization Program.
Among the expo’s exhibitors will be auto part makers as well as two PCMs—Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation and Toyota Motor Philippines—who will present the current status of their CARS projects. Alongside these will be a display of 14 eco-PUV prototypes by prospective eco-PUV Program participants.
Bound to make history, the first-ever PhilAPEX that will feature the CARS Program and eco-PUV prototypes will open doors from 1-5 PM on October 12, and 10 AM to 5 PM on October 13.
