Tough and smart
Build in Thailand, the Philippines is the first left-hand-drive market to launch the model, and like its Australian counterparts, will feature a rigid 5-link with stabilizer coil spring rear suspension which offers a better ride for its passengers than the conventional leaf springs. Fuel economy is said to be 10% better than the previous model, and cost of maintenance has also decreased. First-in-segment amenities include Push Engine Start System and its Zero Gravity front seats.
For driver convenience, safety and connectivity, the Navara sports a smart cockpit that offers an easy-to-read instrument panel, with a steering wheel equipped with audio, connectivity and cruise control buttons.
All variants of the Navara are powered by Nissan’s next-generation 2.5L DOHC in-line 4-cylinder Variable Geometry System (VGS) turbocharger with intercooler engine (YD25 DDTi ) that promises the best output for its displacement. The 4×4 variant offer up to 190 Ps @3,600rpm and maximum torque of 450Nm @2000rpm, while the 4×2 variant produces 163Ps @3,600rpm and 403Nm @2000rpm.
Confident with their newest offering, Zara assured those present at the press conference that NPI will have enough units available, as per their sales forecast.
The all-new 2015 Nissan NP300 Navara will be available in all of Nissan’s 28 dealerships nationwide starting February 20, 2015, in four color: savanna orange; galaxy black; brilliant silver; and alpine white.
