Haval, a luxury SUV marque under Great Wall Motors, formally launched in the Philippines at the 2017 Manila International Auto Show in Pasay.
During the brand’s booth presentation, Haval unveiled the H9 seven-seater SUV, its first offering in the country.
The PHP 3 million luxury SUV carries a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 16-valve, dual-VVT, two-liter engine with cylinder direct injection. The Euro 5-compliant engine produces a maximum power of 160 kW at 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 324 Nm at 2000 to 4000 rpm. It runs on a six-speed automatic transmission with support for manual gear-shifting either with the stick or the paddle shifters, and all-wheel drive with variable terrain adjustability.
Outside, the H9 sports aluminum alloy wheels, a matte alloy luggage carrier and a sunroof. It is available in snow white, sleek silver, classical black, slate grey, forest green and sky blue colors.
Inside, the nappa leather seats are finished with classic French double stitches and are upholstered with memory foam. The driver’s seat has eight-way adjustment and lumbar electric support. The front passenger seat is adjustable in six different ways.
The main controls for the entertainment and navigation system is an 8-inch LCD touchscreen with aux-in, SD Card and USB support. LCD monitors with DVD support are installed for rear passengers. To boot, the H9 carries a custom Infinity sound system by Harman.
