Team Suzuki Pilipinas has had a great year filled with new milestones and stunning victories all throughout the 2016 Suzuki Asian Challenge (SAC).

To celebrate their achievements, Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines threw a victory party at the F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.

Among the team’s greatest achievements this year is pulling a one-two finish at an international race, the first for any Filipino motorcycle racing team, at the Suzuka International Circuit in Japan for the third round of the SAC.

Eane Jaye Sobretodo bagged the top podium win, a first for the Philippines at the ARRC while Mario Borbon, Jr tailed him for the second spot. In the same race, April King Mascardo also became the first Filipino pole sitter in an international racing event.

For round one in Johor Circuit in Malaysia, Mascardo placed second in race number two. Sobretodo went on to finish third at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand for the first race of the second round.

The fourth round held in Sentul Indonesia Circuit saw Mascardo place third at the second race.

The team closed out the year’s competition with a top podium finish by Borbon in the second race of round five, making him the first ever Filipino to finish first at the Chang International Circuit.

Mascardo, Sobretodo and Borbon took the fifth, sixth and seventh overall spots respectively.

As part of the celebration, the trio received plaques of appreciation from Suzuki Philippines led by company President Hiroshi Suzuki.
