The countdown to the future of smart mobility begins as Gogoro Philippines is set to open the Gogoro Experience Center (GEC) in Makati City, its first retail space in the country that promises an immersive preview into what the future of smart electric mobility is about.

Located at the second floor of Greenbelt 4, Makati Avenue, Ayala Center, the GEC will open its doors on November 7, a significant milestone before the start of Gogoro’s commercial operations in the Philippines. It promises to be a place where consumers can immerse themselves in the world of Gogoro Smartscooters® and battery-swapping GoStations, a personal transportation ecosystem that uses a revolutionary approach to powering mobility.

The brand new Gogoro Philippines website, www.gogoro.com/ph, is also live. The website will be mirrored on LED screens at the GEC, and further amplified through graphic animations on Gogoro’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

“We are very excited to open our first retail space in the Philippines as we gear up to roll out Gogoro in Metro Manila. As we count the days down to the grand opening of our Gogoro Experience Center, we are getting ready to welcome visitors and to give them an unforgettable taste of the future of transport,” said Bernie Llamzon, Gogoro Philippines president.

Gogoro Philippines, a groundbreaking initiative, emerged from a joint venture between Globe Group’s 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Taiwan’s Gogoro, which culminated in the establishment of Gogoro Philippines.

The joint venture brings Gogoro’s world class technology to the Philippines as a cleaner transportation option—one that has seen tremendous success in Taiwan, where it all began.

With more battery-swapping stations than traditional gas stations in Taiwanese cities, the Gogoro Network has become an integral part of the urban landscape. Supporting nearly 550,000 riders and boasting over 1.1 million smart batteries in circulation, the network has achieved more than 480 million total battery swaps, saving over 680,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

Gogoro Philippines is the Globe Group’s first foray into climate tech as it aims to promote eco-friendly transport in the Philippines. The strategic partnership seeks to provide intelligent and eco-friendly mobility solutions that are both accessible and inclusive.

Earlier, Gogoro held a pilot test of Gogoro Smartscooters® with Globe employees, who provided invaluable insights ahead of the commercial deployment. It is also continuing to build more GoStations following the launch of the battery-swapping side at The Globe Tower in Taguig City.

With the launch of the Gogoro Experience Center, more Filipinos can now embrace a sustainable, technologically advanced, and cost-effective mode of transport that promises to reduce carbon emissions and transform urban mobility.
