Suzuki Philippines opened the Raider Underground Battle 2026 at The Lima Outlets in Batangas, marking the start of a nationwide showcase centered on the brand’s Raider underbone lineup and its surrounding rider culture.

The event drew 1,059 attendees from motorcycle clubs, riding groups, trade partners, and independent riders. Activities included a custom-bike contest, Hyper Speed Battle, Power Speed Precision Gymkhana Challenge, trade partner displays, stage games, a Biker Babe competition, and meet-and-greet sessions with motovloggers.

The program also gave riders an opportunity to experience the new Raider R150 and Raider PRO, which Suzuki positions as part of the continuing evolution of its underbone range.

Suzuki celebrates the Raider community

Koichiro Hirao, president of Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, thanked the Raider community for helping sustain the model’s popularity and culture over more than two decades.

“Together, we will grow this community, inspire the next generation of riders, and show everyone why the Raider remains the undisputed King of Underbones,” Hirao said.

Norminio C. Mojica, managing director of Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, likewise credited Raider owners, the dealer network, and sales teams for keeping the community active. “Sa lahat ng Raider owners and enthusiasts here today, kayo ang dahilan kung bakit buhay at lumalakas pa rin ang Raider Breed. Your passion, loyalty, and dedication continue to make Raider the true Underbone King,” Mojica said.

Custom bikes put individuality on display

Customization was one of the event’s main attractions, with the Custom-Bike Contest drawing 65 entries across several categories. Suzuki positioned the competition as a showcase of how Raider owners personalize their motorcycles through styling, engineering, and modification.

Niky Vergara won the Custom Bike category, while Leomar Mejica topped Concept Bike and Manuel Fernando won Engine Set-Up. Eric Tagaan, John Erickson Marquez, Rachel Andes, and Bryan Abante took the Indo Concept, Street GP, Thai Concept, and Malaysian Concept categories, respectively.

Andes also received the Influencer’s Choice Award, while Michael Hernandez earned the Suzuki Choice Award. Winners received combinations of trophies, cash prizes, and sponsor-provided equipment and accessories.

Speed and precision challenges test rider skill

The Hyper Speed Battle put riders on the Suzuki Raider R150 for a time-attack competition focused on speed, control, and consistency. John Francis Aldovino of R150 Street GP Concept recorded the fastest official time to take first place, followed by Russel Jerusalem in second and Jonnel Lasquite of RRDC Luzon in third.

The Power Speed Precision Challenge shifted the focus to technical handling aboard the Suzuki Raider PRO. Riders navigated an obstacle course designed around tight turns, balance, agility, and accuracy, with penalties applied for mistakes such as stalling, putting a foot down, or displacing cones.

Lasquite won the Gymkhana Challenge, with fellow RRDC Luzon rider Jonelle Balino in second and Darwin Aguillon of Raider Owner’s Club Inc. in third. Winners received prizes from Suzuki’s trade partners.

Wider motorcycle community joins the event

The event also included exhibitors from the motorcycle aftermarket and riding-gear sector, including AXOR Helmets, Gumande Tires, Halston Tires, HJC Helmets, Immortal Riding Bags, Imprint Customs, JRP Racing, KOBY Philippines, Mototek, MT8 Racing Thailand, Pirelli Moto, RCB Philippines, Samurai Paint Philippines, SMOKK Moto, Spyder Philippines, UMA Racing, and other partners.

The Biker Babe competition was won by Mikaela Mariel L. Que, with Alex Mae Boongaling as first runner-up and Endralyn Fe Cartagena as second runner-up. Suzuki also invited a number of motovloggers and content creators, including Reed Motovlog, Bossbabe Anna Lhi, Asian Pakboi, Jawo Motovlog, The Karlo Salonga Show, Hammer Man, NEG X GELA, and Anghel sa Lupa.

The Batangas leg served as the opening stop of Suzuki’s nationwide Raider Underground Battle 2026, combining product exposure with community activities built around customization, riding skill, and the culture that has developed around the Raider lineup.
