Yamaha Motor Philippines successfully concluded YECVT: Shift to Performance, an immersive rider engagement program that gave NMAX Tech MAX owners, prospective buyers, Yamaha dealers, and riding enthusiasts the opportunity to better understand and experience its YECVT technology.
Held last Jun3 20-21, 2026, at Timberland Highland Resort in San Mateo, Rizal, the event combined product discussions, guided riding sessions, practical demonstrations, and real-world riding scenarios to showcase how YECVT enhances both everyday riding and overall rider engagement.
Learning Through Experience
A key focus of the program was rider education. Participants were introduced to the features and functions of the NMAX Tech MAX and its YECVT system through guided discussions before taking the motorcycles onto public roads.
During the ride, participants experienced how the different riding modes and Shift function could be used across a variety of riding conditions, providing a clearer understanding of the technology’s benefits in performance, control, and rider confidence.
Safety at the Forefront
The Yamaha Riding Academy (YRA) played an integral role throughout the activity by conducting safety briefings, providing riding guidance, and offering practical instruction during the evaluation rides.
By combining product education with responsible riding practices, Yamaha enabled participants to experience the motorcycle’s capabilities while reinforcing riding skills that can be applied beyond the event.
Beyond the Ride
The program also introduced participants to Yamaha’s aftersales and ownership support initiatives. Maintenance demonstrations, service consultations, and presentations on exclusive ownership benefits highlighted the company’s commitment to providing a comprehensive ownership experience for NMAX Tech MAX customers.
Alongside the rider activities, Yamaha also conducted training and knowledge-sharing sessions with participating 3S Shops. These sessions strengthened dealership personnel’s understanding of YECVT technology, helping ensure customers receive knowledgeable support throughout their ownership journey.
