Petron, a leading oil company in the Philippines, has just hit another milestone in fuel technology with their launch of the first Euro 4-compliant premium plus gasoine in the local market. The new Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4 is specially formulated to meet exacting Euro 4 standards.

Euro 4 compliance means that the fuel has sulfur levels not exceeding 50 parts per million (0.005%) and a maximum of 1% benzine by volume. Blaze 400 has about 10 times less sulfur and half the benzine that current Philippine regulation allows. Petron is rolling out the Euro 4 fuel a full two and a half years before the government-mandated switch, set to take effect in 2016. Petron has done this to highlight Petron’s commitment to its consumers, as well as the environment.

Apart from being better for the environment, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4 also offers greater performance thanks to its high octane content and superb engine cleaning properties. Fuel efficiency is also boosted thanks to its organic combustion enhancer and custom friction modifier.

“As the market leader in the local oil sector, it is our responsibility to be at the forefront of producing more environment-friendly fuels,” Petron Chairman and CEO Ramon S. Ang said. “This new product, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4, is proudly Philippine-made.”

Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4 will initially be available in 24 service stations in Luzon, along major thoroughfares in Mega Manila, while rollout in Visayas and Mindanao will happen gradually over the next few months.
