V-GREEN is accelerating its Philippine expansion through new partnerships aimed at building large-scale EV charging and battery swapping infrastructure across key areas in Luzon.
The global charging infrastructure company recently signed memoranda of understanding with the Provincial Government of Bataan and independent fuel retailer Clean Fuel to support the rollout of charging stations and battery swapping facilities in high-traffic areas across Bataan and Cavite.
The initiative forms part of the company’s broader effort to support electric vehicle adoption in the Philippines while improving convenience for both electric car and electric two-wheeler users.
Building a province-wide EV network in Bataan
Under the agreement with the Provincial Government of Bataan, V-GREEN plans to collaborate on the planning, deployment, and operation of a province-wide EV charging network covering one city and 11 municipalities.
The company aims to deploy 600 charging stations and 1,200 battery-swapping stations across the province.
V-GREEN will handle the supply, installation, operation, and maintenance of the network, while the provincial government will facilitate permits, endorse strategic locations, and coordinate with local government units.
Hon. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, governor of Bataan, said the initiative supports the province’s broader sustainability and mobility goals.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable mobility in our province. By working with V-GREEN, we are building the foundation for an EV ecosystem that promotes innovation, strengthens environmental responsibility, and prioritizes long-term development,” Garcia said.
Expanding EV access through fuel retail networks
V-GREEN has also partnered with Clean Fuel to explore the deployment of EV charging stations at high-traffic fuel stations in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
With more than 100 stations across Luzon, Clean Fuel’s retail network is expected to help improve accessibility for EV users by integrating charging infrastructure into existing fueling locations.
The collaboration aims to make EV charging more convenient for drivers by allowing them to charge vehicles at familiar roadside stops during daily travel.
Supporting VinFast’s Philippine expansion
The new infrastructure agreements also support VinFast’s upcoming launch of electric scooters in the Philippines.
Battery swapping infrastructure is expected to be available from the start of VinFast’s local two-wheeler rollout, while the expanded charging network will continue supporting existing VinFast electric vehicle users.
Nguyen Anh Quynh, global chief executive officer of V-GREEN, said large-scale EV adoption depends heavily on accessible and reliable charging infrastructure.
“Expanding EV infrastructure requires both scale and accessibility. Through our partnerships with government and private sector stakeholders, we are building a charging network that supports real-world usage and makes electric mobility more practical for Filipino drivers,” Quynh said.
Growing the local EV ecosystem
Founded by VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong, V-GREEN focuses on developing charging infrastructure that supports the automaker’s international expansion.
The Philippines remains one of the company’s priority markets in Southeast Asia as local EV adoption and infrastructure development continue gaining momentum.
