In celebration of its 21st year of operation, Volvo Philippines gave the country a sneak peek at the all-new Volvo XC90, a premium seven-seater SUV carrying the brand’s Scandinavian DNA. The all-new XC90 features high-end safety precautions, better powertrain mechanism, a powerful and eco-friendly engine, as well as exceptional interior aesthetics. Comfortable seats cradle passengers in the cabin, with those in the second and third row seats getting more space thanks to the innovative and ergonomic seat design. Sprucing everything up is Nappa leather with wood accents adorned with handcrafted details, including diamond-cuts for the ignition button and volume control.

On the interior’s center console is a touch-enabled screen giving passengers access into the new in-car control system dubbed as Sensus. Also accessible through voice commands, Sensus allows drivers easy access to vehicle information via the digital instrumentation and HUD, while also being compatible with cloud-based apps on your smartphone.

The all-new XC90 is powered by a lineup of two-liter, four-cylinder Drive-E powertrains sipping less fuel while giving the XC90 more range. Noteworthy is the D5 twin turdo diesel engine variant capable of outing 228PS and 470Nm of torque while achieving a fuel mileage of 5.7l/100km. A T6 petrol engine variant with a supercharger capable of producing 324PS and 400Nm of torque will also be available. All engine tiers will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Volvo XC90 is available for preview at the North Court of the Powerplant Mall, Rockwell Center.
