Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (YMPH), in partnership with the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRT), opened the first Yamaha-themed train station in the world, transforming the LRT-1 Monumento station into a landmark that “becomes an avenue for every citizen to discover what ‘Revs your Heart’ is all about,” according to an official YMPH statement.
The partnership was represented by LRT President Juan “Ping” Alfonso through PHAR Philippines Inc. and their Managing Director for Asia Prem Bhatia.
“This is our latest milestone, a unique brand that showcases our passion for riding. One that we can share to the Filipino community every day. Here you can see all our latest campaigns, our products that drives individual [sic] to pursue a new culture for riding, a culture we are proud of,” said YMPH President Toru Osugi.
The station was redesigned to showcase Yamaha and its newest campaign “We Are Mio” featuring the country’s number one automatic motorcycle. Yamaha also designed its very own train, bearing a themed design.
The launch of the station was made extra special with the attendance of Yamaha MotoGP racers Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales. Along with the riders were Yamaha ambassadors Drew Arellano and BoyBandPH who presented the station to the public later in the day.
