The new Google Maps for iOS devices gets an upgrade with enhanced search and navigation features, and a new dedicated iPad mapping experience.
Google Maps for iOS has enhanced navigation and biking directions. Those who drive will find the live incident reports on road closures, construction, accidents etc., to be useful. Commuters on the other hand can find schedule information for more than one million public transit stops around the world. And if you prefer to bike, you can get turn-by-turn directions and voice guided navigation for more than 330, 000 miles of trails, paths, and bike lanes around the world.
If you like exploring, a quick tap on the search box will let you see suggestions on local places to eat, drink, shop, and play. Once you’ve chosen a place to hangout in, you might want to check out reviews and even see how your friends rated the place. If you’re still not quite sure about a place, check to see if they have a Zagat badge of excellence which are badges given to places suggested by experts.
