The newly launched Fujifilm X-H1 is the photography and imaging company’s highest-grade mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera aimed towards professional photographer and videographers.
Having a robust and durable form factor, the X-H1 retains Fujifilm’s heritage. This mirrorless camera is equipped with features that prove useful to professionals and hobbyists. It is the first camera from the X Series to include the latest 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS), which has a maximum of 5.5 stops as well as a flicker reduction mode to capture subjects in motion impeccably–a feature perfect for indoor sports photography.
Beyond its much-appreciated photography functions, the X-H1 also comes with a superb video shooting mechanism for stunning quality. Its range of video features support movie and television production requirements. The mechanism and software of the X-H1 paved the way for Fujifilm to collaborate with some of the industry’s best, including award-winning celebrity wedding videographer Bob Nicolas, top director of photography for TVCs Odyssey Flores, and blockbuster hitmaker Dan Villegas.
On top of its capability to record a high bit rate of 200 Mbps, X-H1’s F*log direct-SD Card Recording gives filmmakers control over colors of footages. This feature enables videographers to shoot videos, which can then be adjusted to the desired results in final editing. Another feature that puts the X-H1 a notch above the rest is its ability to record slow-motion clips with its high-speed video recording.
Preventing shaky hands from ruining a clip/shot without the need for a gimbal is its in-body image stabilization (IBIS), minimizing shakes when in use. The IBIS feature also makes handling any lens, especially with greater focal length, easy with its its 5-axis 5.5 stops.
It is the first X series camera to sport flicker reduction mode and improved AF algorithms. Additionally, Fujifilm also equipped the X-H1 with a new film simulation called ETERNA. This feature injects shots that cinematic film effect, creating understated colors and rich shadow tones which further allows creative freedom.
