Leading online job platform Jobstreet by SEEK has entered into a strategic partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Jobs Cluster, reinforcing career readiness programs and boosting workforce opportunities across the country.

These partnerships were sealed through the signing of Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), marking the start of their joint commitment to expanding job access for Filipinos and addressing employment challenges in the country.

“We, at Jobstreet by SEEK, are very optimistic about these partnerships, as this reflects our shared vision of opening more doors and supporting Filipino job seekers from all walks of life. We’re excited to work together with these organizations and sectors, organizing more career conventions, expanding career readiness, and making job opportunities more accessible for Filipino job seekers,” said Dannah Majarocon, Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines managing director.

The collaborative partnership between Jobstreet by SEEK and DepEd will include increased efforts in rolling out Career Readiness Caravan, an initiative by the job-seeking platform that aims to empower students through workshops and career-building activities by providing useful career advice, practical tips, and giving insights into the job market. This campaign seeks to reach more Senior High School students and Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners, helping them build confidence and navigate their professional careers.

The partnership also involves other Youth Formation Initiatives aimed at supporting the younger generation’s holistic development, including values, knowledge, attitudes, and skills.

Jobstreet by SEEK also teamed up with the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Jobs Cluster in the Philippines, a sector-focused group that connects the government with private businesses to address ongoing employment challenges, create more jobs, and improve the country’s economic development.

The current partnership includes maximizing Jobstreet by SEEK’s digital job platform by digitizing the processes for career conventions, making it easier for job seekers to access opportunities. It also includes job fair marketing to attract more talent and connect them with the right employers.

In addition to formalized agreements with DepEd and PSAC, Jobstreet by SEEK is also in ongoing discussions with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a government agency responsible for overseeing technical vocational education and training programs in the country. The collaboration is expected to focus on developing training modules, providing labor market information, and offering access to seekPASS, Jobstreet by SEEK’s mobile app that helps job seekers verify, manage, and share their job credentials and documents needed for job applications. If the partnership pushes through, Jobstreet by SEEK will also participate in the upcoming Philippine National Skills Competition 2025 and the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 events organized by TESDA.

Earlier this year, Jobstreet by SEEK also announced its strategic partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippines Retailer Association (PRA), aimed at driving career growth and empowering the retail industry in the country. The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under DOLE also works closely with Jobstreet by SEEK for on-ground events such as career conventions and job fairs.
