After more than eight decades of providing general insurance for optimum financial protection and risk management, the non-life insurance giant MAPFRE Insular gears up for new and innovative methods to serve its Filipino customers.

Among its groundbreaking initiatives are the integration of QR codes which allows faster verification and reliable safekeeping for all of their policies. Making it easier to retrieve when needed, policy holders can now have an instant access to their documents through the company’s dedicated app.  The generated QR codes also have added a layer of security which fully protect the customers from counterfeit insurance policies.

The company also made some advances with their insurance application process by recently launching the MAFPRE Insular Virtual Office (MIVO). Especially tailored for MAFPRE agents, the digital portal revolutionizes the way they meet with their clients. Agents can now provide quote, issue policies via email, and collect payments online in real time. For customers, there’s the mobile app called UpDocs which enables them to submit requirements online and process First Notification of Loss (FNOL) anytime. MAFPRE Insular’s 24/7 hotline will later process the application as soon as they received the application. Meanwhile, roadside assistance and location tracking of the service in real time can be done via the MAiassist app.

MAFPRE Insular president and CEO Tirso C. Abad believes that the company’s digital transformation can motivate other Filipinos to invest on non-life insurance services. He also announced MAFPRE’s plan of expansion, adding 7 more offices in Luzon by 2019.
