Attendees also explored broader sustainability trends, including the growing adoption of Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), increasing attention on Scope 3 emissions reporting, and the demand for solutions that deliver both environmental and business benefits.

AI and the Future of Lighting
The day opened with an executive breakfast session titled “The Future of Lighting: Accelerating Circularity and Asset Performance with AI.”
Senior executives and decision-makers discussed how artificial intelligence, connected lighting systems, and data-driven technologies can improve building performance, optimize asset utilization, and support sustainability objectives while extending the lifespan of lighting infrastructure.

The main plenary session introduced the company’s Signify Circle approach, which is designed to help organizations maximize the value of lighting investments while reducing environmental impact.
The framework is built around three principles:
- Use Less by reducing energy consumption, minimizing material use, and increasing the use of recycled and sustainable materials.
- Use Longer by extending product lifecycles through durable design, repairability, modularity, and upgradeability.
- Use Again by supporting refurbishment, reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling to keep materials in circulation.
Attendees also explored circular-ready lighting products, upgrade kits, spare parts programs, and service-based business models that support these objectives.
