Australian BPO company TSA Group, announced the opening of a brand new site at the Five E-Com Center in the Mall of Asia Complex last October 12.
The center, which occupies half the 14th floor of the Five E-Com Center, aims to add 500 employees to the 1,000 currently employed at Philam Life Tower in Makati.
“With the opening of the Five E-Com center today, we will be creating over 500 job opportunities within the Mall of Asia Complex. The team in Manila will grow to over 1,500 employees by early 2017 and we believe with this enlarged footprint, TSA has the right people, locations and infrastructure to deliver TSA services on a global platform,” TSA Group Sales and Service Manager Daniel Hill-Smith said.
The large office space will be dedicated to handling inbound and outbound sales, customer service, administration and back office activities for Australian telecommunications company Telstra, one of TSA’s largest partners.
Present at the event was Telstra Director for Sales and Retention of Global Contact Centers Craig Dunn. “TSA has continued to deliver very pleasing results over the time of our partnership, have also demonstrated a big commitment to attracting talent and developing talent,” he said.
The TSA – Telstra site marks a AUD 9 million investment to the Philippine BPO industry with the Five E-Com and Philam Life Tower sites handling all of TSA’s overseas work.
“I think there’s a great deal of similarity between the Philippine culture and the Australian culture. The actual Philippines BPO industry offers great support from a shared services perspective as well as IT and infrastructure,” Hill-Smith said, expressing TSA’s optimism for the company’s potential for growth in the Philippines.
“The level of talent, the cultural assimilation and the drive of the workforce is phenomenal and it certainly aligns with TSA’s goals in moving into the future,” he added.
A full launch of the site is scheduled in January.
