At Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference coming on June 2nd this year, Apple is reportedly planning to unveil new software for their iPhone that can control home lighting, security systems, and other appliances.
According to the Financial Times, Apple will allow several companies that specializes on home appliances to create products that can be operated through an iPhone. Although it is unclear if these smart functions will be available on existing iPhone models, analysts predicted that there will an inclusion of NFC in the next iPhone, which will enable the interaction between your device and your home appliances.
This home automation feature is expected to appear on the upcoming iOS 8 release, along with a number of new apps.
