Finally, a headset designed for young gamers—the HyperX Cloud Mini! For us kids who love gaming and talking to our friends while playing, nothing could be more perfect!
Design: 5/5

The HyperX Cloud Mini headset is lightweight and portable. It has soft, padded earcups, which are also adjustable and rotational for easy handling. The headband has a soft padding as well and the size is extendable / adjustable. It has a tuck away boom microphone that can be bent to your preferred position. The Cloud Mini looks really cool with the edgy HyperX logo on the ear cups. This is available in black and white.

Hardware: 5/5
With 30mm neodymium drivers, the HyperX Cloud Mini provides clear audio in a wide range of frequencies for an immersive audio experience. Volume limit is set at 85dB to ensure young kids who are into gaming don’t damage their hearing. The tuck away boom microphone also has a flip-to-mute support.
The Cloud Mini can be used wireless via Bluetooth or can be used wired with the 3.5mm jack that it comes with.

It is compatible on multiple platforms such as PC, Chromebook, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and more.
The headphones has up to 25 hours battery life which can last a couple of days before needing a recharge. In my testing, it can even go up to 27 hours. USB-A to USB-C charging cable is also provided in the package.
User Experience: 4/5

By long-pressing the Bluetooth button on the headset, I was able to pair the HyperX Cloud Mini quickly to my laptop and use it for gaming.
It has a clear and balanced sound without unnecessary background noise. Even with the audio limit at 85dB, it is still loud enough. I can go through long gaming sessions with my friends without my ears feeling strained after, unlike other headphones that I have used. With the audio restriction, I am now more aware when other people are talking to me while I’m gaming (I used to be oblivious to other sounds when gaming, lol).
When I’m on calls, I can pull the microphone up to mute myself and I can easily pull it back down to unmute. This is very convenient during online games and calls and is also helpful to my parents and people around me when they see whether I’m muted or not.

I have used the HyperX Cloud Mini on various Roblox games, Minecraft, as well as audio and video calls with friends. It always provides rich, exceptional audio. I have also used it wired on my PS5 and Nintendo Switch and it has worked seamlessly.
Value: 4/5
The HyperX Cloud Mini Wireless Gaming Headset retails at PHP3,295. This is good value for the price considering the various connectivity options it offers as well as compatibility to multiple platforms.
Bottomline
The HyperX Cloud Mini headphones is a thoughtfully-designed headset for young gamers. It is comfortable with really good audio that provides an immersive gaming experience for kids without damaging kids’ ears. This is a sigma headset for kids and even adults.
