The 1.14kg convertible pairs Googlebook OS and Gemini Intelligence with a 14-inch 3K OLED display, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, and deeper integration with Android phones.
Acer has introduced the Acer Googlebook 14, its first laptop in Google’s new Googlebook category and what the release describes as the industry’s first convertible Googlebook.
Designed around Gemini Intelligence, the laptop combines premium hardware with deeper integration between laptop and Android phone workflows. It supports touch, keyboard, stylus, voice, and conventional laptop interaction, while Googlebook OS brings Gemini-powered assistance into the user experience.
Built around Gemini Intelligence
Googlebook OS is designed to move beyond a conventional desktop operating system by combining device interaction with context-aware AI assistance.
One example is Continue On, which lets users resume tasks started on a compatible Android phone on the Googlebook 14. Cast My Apps makes supported Android apps accessible on the laptop without requiring separate installation, while context-aware suggestions can surface actions based on what is currently displayed on screen.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 inside
The Googlebook 14 can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355, featuring built-in AI engines and an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS.
It supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage. Acer rates battery life at up to 16 hours for web browsing and up to 14 hours for local video playback, with fast charging that can restore up to 80% capacity in an hour under its stated test conditions.
3K OLED in a 360-degree convertible
The laptop uses a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 500-nit brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, and support for USI 2.0 styluses.
Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display, while DTS-tuned audio and dual upward-facing Acer Ultra Boost Stereo speakers handle sound. The screen can also be used with Magic Pointer, which Acer describes as a cursor-activated tool designed to support Gemini-assisted visual workflows.
The 360-degree hinge supports four modes: clamshell, tent, stand, and tablet. At 13.9mm thick and 1.14kg, the Googlebook 14 stays portable despite its convertible form factor.
Premium materials and connected hardware
The chassis uses an aluminum-magnesium blend with an Elemental Blue finish. A Glowbar on the cover changes colors and patterns to indicate battery and charging status, while Acer Comfort Touch treatment is applied to parts of the palm rest and bottom cover for a softer grip.
Connectivity includes Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, one Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 5MP webcam with a privacy shutter, triple microphone array, fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, and Google Titan-C security chip round out the hardware.
Built with circular materials
Acer says 49% of the Googlebook 14’s materials are circular materials, based on its stated calculation covering recycled plastic, aluminum, and magnesium.
The device also uses 99% plastic-free packaging and carries an EPEAT Climate+ designation, Energy Star 9.0 certification, and EPEAT registration in applicable markets.
