The youngest smartphone brand in the local market, realme, recently shared that it will bring the much-awaited realme 5 and realme 5 Pro in the Philippines.
The realme 5 series are the first smartphones from the brand to have a quad camera setup which are composed of an ultra-wide-angle lens, main camera, portrait lens, and ultra-macro lens to elevate mobile photography experience.
Coming in with features and specs unparalleled in its price segment, the Realme 5 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 712 AIE processor which improves gaming, camera, and battery performance. It adopts a 48 MP Sony IMX586 as its main camera sensor which most flagship phones use, along with an 8 MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2 MP portrait lens, and a 2 MP ultra-macro lens. To provide a more immersive, wider, and clearer display, the realme 5 Pro features a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen with a dewdrop design. It also has a 16 MP front camera and supports fast charging through 20W VOOC 3.0 Technology. It comes in two variants—4 GB RAM+128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM+128 GB storage—and is available in crystal green and sparkling blue colors.
Its much younger sibling, the realme 5, is powered with the Snapdragon 665 processor that provides highly intelligent smartphone performance for mobile gaming, camera, and security. It comes with a bigger 6.5-inch HD+ mini-drop full-screen display that allows users to enjoy an immersive smartphone experience for gaming and video streaming. Upgrading mobile photography in the mid-range segment, the phone features a 12 MP quad-camera setup for clearer and brighter pictures. Alongside the main sensor are the 8 MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens for landscapes and other distant scenes, an ultra-macro lens for capturing subjects in closer distances, and a portrait lens. It has a 13 MP AI-enabled front camera packed with beauty algorithms to optimize selfies. The realme 5 video function can also record slow-motion videos in 240fps and 720p. When it comes to battery life, the realme 5 has a massive 5,000 mAh battery that can last even with extended hours of usage. Available in crystal blue and crystal purple, the realme 5 comes in three variants: either in a 3 GB RAM+ 32 GB internal memory, 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal memory, and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal memory.
Both phones feature Nightscape mode and Chroma Boost that shoots more detailed and vibrant images even in extremely low-lit scenarios.
Set to disrupt the sub-P15k price segment, the two variants of the realme 5 Pro is priced at PHP 11,990 and PHP13,990. Offline pre-order runs until October 11 and requires a minimum deposit of PHP 500. Those who will place pre-orders will receive a realme 10,000 mAh power bank worth PHP 1,599. Purchasers may claim their brand-new devices on October 12 in all realme kiosks and partner stores nationwide. It is available through Lazada until October 8. Realme 5 Pro smartphones pre-ordered online can be redeemed on October 9. On the same day at exactly 12 midnight, realme will also be holding its very first Lazada online sale for the realme 5 Pro.
Meanwhile, the realme 5 retails for PHP 6,990, PHP 7,990, and PHP 9,900, respectively. It is now available on all realme kiosks nationwide. However, the 3 GB RAM + 32GB internal memory variant of the realme 5 will be exclusively available on Lazada.
Both devices may also be availed through a Home Credit plan. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the realme 5 Pro can be purchased through a 6- or 9-months, 0 percent interest plan while the other storage variants of the realme 5 Pro and realme 5 may also be availed through a 6-month plan at 0 percent interest.
