With the launch of the T7 and T9 microSD cards alongside the P9 Express, Samsung is transitioning away from its previous EVO Plus, PRO Plus, and PRO Ultimate branding. The new naming convention is intended to create a more unified removable storage portfolio while helping consumers identify products that best match their requirements.
According to Samsung, the ‘T’ designation represents Trustworthiness, while the ‘P’ series stands for Peace of Mind, reflecting the company’s focus on dependable storage performance and user confidence.
T7 microSD for everyday storage expansion
The Samsung T7 microSD card is designed for everyday users, light gamers, and intermediate content creators who need additional storage across multiple devices.
Available in capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB, the card delivers read speeds of up to 170MB/s and broad compatibility with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and handheld gaming consoles. The T7 is positioned as a dependable storage solution for users managing growing libraries of photos, videos, applications, and games.
T9 microSD for performance-driven users
For gaming enthusiasts, creators, and users working with large files, Samsung developed the T9 microSD card with higher performance specifications.
The T9 delivers read speeds of up to 200MB/s and includes six-proof protection for durability and reliability. Samsung says the card is particularly suited for performance-intensive devices such as drones, action cameras, gaming handhelds, smartphones, tablets, and laptops where faster file transfers and sustained performance are important.
The card also supports creators and professionals who regularly work with high-resolution media files and demanding workloads.

The Samsung T9 microSD card is priced at PHP3,929 (128GB), PHP6,188 (256GB), and PHP12,475 (512GB).
