ASUS, a leading computer technology company, announced yesterday the arrival of their VivoPC in the Philippines. Coming in at a mere 56mm thick and taking up less desk space than an A4-sized paper, the small form factor desktops promise to go big on your daily tasks while being tiny enough to be tucked in anywhere.
The VivoPCs arrive in two versions: the VM40B and the VM60. Besides being tiny, both feature the ASUS SonicMaster audio technology to ensure superb audio quality from either the integrated or external speakers.
The VM40B ships in with respectable innards. It sports a dual-core Intel Celeron 1007U Processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, Intel HD Integrated Graphics and a 500GB SATA hard drive. This translates to smooth operation on anything from document creation to watching HD videos. Connecting to the internet and gadgets won’t be a problem because of the standard 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Lastly, you won’t have to worry about space for your external peripherals with the numerous ports – 2 USB3.0 ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 3 audio jacks, 1 HDMI and 1 D-SUB slots, and the 2-in-1 SD/MMC card reader.
The VM60 is almost identical to the VM40B except that it comes with the faster Intel® Core™ i3-3217U Processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and the Integrated Intel HD 4000 Graphics which is compatible for non-graphics intensive gaming.
If the specs above are not enough for you, the spun metal finished casing of both versions slide off, giving you the ability to upgrade the hard drive as well as add more RAM.
The VM40B and VM60 are perfect for those looking for a reliable and stylish desktop for their home or office. They’re available in Villman and Octagon for Php 16,990 and Php 25,990 respectively.
