The great news that BBM is being released for the two most popular mobile operating systems in the world has had a little setback, as BlackBerry halts the rollout of the app for both iOS and Android users. The reason given behind the sudden stop is, unsurprisingly, a much greater volume than the BBM system can handle. In just the first eight hours, BBM saw over 1.1 Million clients. This prompted the halting deployment of the service for the “other” operating systems, and leaves us with no word as to when the service will be up again. Users that were lucky enough to get the app quickly can still use the service, though. Until then, everyone else will have to keep living life normally, we guess.
