The Japanese digital imaging brand, Canon, has recently unveiled the world-renowned EOS R camera system in the country. During the launch, Canon revealed how the EOS R system features, partnered with the Canon PIXMA printers, can be optimized to achieve optical and creativity excellence.
Including in the system are the pioneering full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R, along with four novel RF lenses and three new types of mount adapters.
The EOS R is the brand’s first 35mm interchangeable-lens digital camera that comes with an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). It comes with a 30.3-megapixel dual pixel CMOS AF sensor paired with the latest DIGIC 8 image processor. With the world’s fastest autofocus at 0.05 second, the full-frame camera can seamlessly capture moving objects continuously and accurately at 8 fps. To top it off, the compact and lightweight camera has a dynamic range of ISO that extends up to 40000, and a rotating LCD screen. Its new mount communication system–through the optional standard EF-EOS R mount adapter, control ring mount adapter EF-EOS R, and drop-in filter mount adapter EF-EOSR–provides more options for professional photographers.
Representing a new frontier in lens design for mirrorless cameras, it also takes pride on its first RF lenses. The RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM, RF50mm f/1.2L USM, RF28-70mm f/2L USM, and RF35mm f/1.8 macro IS STM lenses all incorporate a control ring that directly adjust numerous settings including shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, and more.
The newest additions to Canon’s growing range of advanced and multi-functional printers were also introduced in the said event. Creativity doesn’t stop as images captured are translated into vivid prints with the brand-new PIXMA TS9570, TS8270, and TR4570S. Ideal for home and small offices, the PIXMA line has powerful features such as built-in pattern designs, automatic two-sided printing, and wireless connectivity. Offering productivity even with large print projects, the PIXMA E4270 is definitely an ink efficient product.
There’s also the compact flatbed scanners, the CanoScan LiDE400 and LiDE300, that deliver versatile solutions.
“The Canon EOS R System was developed with a vision of continuously taking the whole EOS system further for the photo and video enthusiasts, and the new PIXMA printers and CanoScan scanners to further meet the demands of budding creative entrepreneurs. With this milestone launch, we hope to drive Canon’s business in the Philippines further to new heights,” said by Mr. Kazuhiro Ozawa, president and CEO of Canon Marketing Philippines Inc.
