In a move to raise funds for select 100 underprivileged but deserving Filipino students, over 3,367 runners composed of 477 Chevron employees and 2,890 delegates from American Chamber of Commerce member-companies took the streets of  Bonifacio Global City as part of the 4th AmCham ScholaRUN.

The charity run, which proceeds will go to AmCham Foundation’s scholarship program, generated more than one million pesos. The funds will be in support of scholars in both vocational and college levels. An indicator of the growing support for the annual charity event, the number of participants grew by 1,000 this year.

The American Chamber Foundation Philippines Inc. (ACF) in partnership with Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI) has given education opportunities for hundreds of ACF scholars. ACF, on the other hand, has supported numerous graduates who are currently working in various companies, both locally and globally.

Participants who finished the 3k, 5k and 10k categories all received commemorative medals for their involvement. Finishing 3rd in the 5k category, Janice Trinidad, Expatriate Assignee Counselor of Chevron Holdings Inc. (CHI), expressed, “It feels great to run for a good cause. I fully support this annual activity because I know it’s a privilege to help provide education for our country’s next generation of leaders.”
