In a move that will undoubtedly boost the local economy and create job opportunities for scores of Batangueños, Seiko Epson Corporation, through its subsidiary Epson Precision (Philippines) Inc, has just announced that it will be putting up a 12.3-billion Yen plant for increasing production of their inkjet printers and 3LCD projectors. The plant is slated to be completed by the early part of 2014, with production to begin shortly after.

Our genuine ink tank system printers, for example, have become tremendously popular in the Philippines by providing the lowest running cost against any printer in the market that uses genuine inks,” said Toshimitsu Tanaka, President/Country Manager of Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC).
Epson Precision (Philippines) plans o increase its workforce to about 20,000 from its current 12,500 to meet the impending increase in production.
