    In a milestones that speaks volumes about the quality of their products, and the trust consumers have in them, Epson has announced that it has just shipped its 100 millionth high-temperature polysilicon TFT liquid Crystal panel for 3LCD projectors, a figure that’s enough for more than 33.3 million individual projector units.

    The panels, which started development at Epson in the 1980s, became the heart of their 3:LCD projectors starting in 1989. Since that date,  shipments of Epson HTPS panels have grown in tandem with the projector market, reaching 50 million in 2008, and now, 25 years since the launch of the first 3LCD projector, achieving 100 million.

    “Thirteen consecutive years as the world’s no. 1 projector maker is a testament to Epson’s industry-leading technologies that give our projectors an undeniable edge over competition,” says Epson Philippines Corporation’s President/Country Manager, Toshimitsu Tanaka.
