image004Are you hungry for more racing action but don’t have the time nor capacity to watch one at a far-off racing track? Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has got you covered as they bring the third and final leg of their Vios Cup closer to Metro Manila. How close, you ask? Try Taguig City.

Yes, one of the country’s top anticipated motoring competitions will be taking place on the streets of McKinley West in Fort Bonifacio on October 18 and 19. From 30 participating Vios race cars, a larger total of 37 vehicles will be competing. They’ll be divided into two brackets based on the results of the qualifying heat on October 18, to be followed by the race proper the next day. Additionally, motoring press and celebrity racers from the past legs will be competing under the Media All-Stars category.

Though the 2nd leg of the Vios Cup last July was met with heavy rain, racers braved the slick and wet track to display their prowess. Jason Choachuy of Toyota Balintawak was top dog for the first and second heats, garnering a huge point advantage heading into the third round. However, other drivers are looking forward to trumping his lead as this final heat doubles the points awarded to each racer. The driver who gains the highest total score for the whole season will be the overall champion with a brand new Vios 1.5G M/T as the prize. The second placer will receive PHP 400,000, while the prize for third will be PHP 200,000.

Besides the above main event, other activities will be held throughout the race period, such as a Track Day competition and outdoor games for all ages. Keiichi Tsuchiya, a Fast and Furious guest star, will also be visiting to thrill event-goers with his uncanny sideways driving and drifting skills.

Putting an exclamation point on the 2014 Vios Cup season will be various OPM bands, including Pulso, Yolanda Moon, and Up Dharma Down.

Again, the third leg of the 2014 Toyota Vios Cup will be at McKinley West, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 18 and 19 starting at 10:00 AM. Admission is free and the event is open to everyone.

The 2014 Vios Cup is held in cooperation with Bridgestone and with the support of Rota, Motul, Brembo, Denso, AVT, OMP, and TRD.
