Sun Cellular has expanded its free Facebook offers to five to give their subscribers more practical ways of accessing and maintaining their social network.

“Our expanded line-up of free Facebook offers shows our commitment to give better choices to our customers,” said Joel Lumanlan, vice president for Sun Postpaid marketing. “Now, you have full control of when and how you want to enjoy Facebook on your Android phone or tablet. There is no more reason to fear unwanted data charges. You can stay connected whenever, wherever, in whatever option you choose,” explained Lumanlan.

The first is through Sun’s postpaid and broadband plans. Select plans are bundled with free Facebook along with a free Android phone, and unlimited calls and text. Prepaid subscribers also get the full Facebook experience each time they register to call and text packages such as Text Unlimited (TU 200), Call and Text Combo (CTC50), and Call and Text Unlimited (CTU30), with no maintaining load required for the duration of the promos.

Both pre- and postpaid subscribers can also access free Facebook right from the app and mobile site via a simple switch on the upper right corner of the interface. This free data switch allows them to post status updates, comment on posts, visit groups and pages, as well as chat with friends without being charged for consumed data.  The same experience can be had using Internet.org which allows free Facebook access along with free admission to other partner sites.
