Yesterday, Intel held their #GoFaster Performance Matters Cook Off event which pitted four media guests against a culinary battle with two professional chefs, seemingly alluding to how quality matters over quantity when dealing with mobile processors.
Various tablets with Intel inside were also on hand for the event, with guests invited to play Intel’s Finger BootCamp to test how the processors handle reaction-based gameplay. The wares displayed included the RedFox WIZpad Lite and Starmobile Engage 9i.
Meanwhile, Intel seems keen on capturing more of the smartphone, phablet, and hybrid market next year, with three new processors slated for release during 2015. These include their entry-level offerings codenamed SoFIA 3G and SoFIA 3G-R, both with integrated communications modules in the processor with the former being a dual-core one and the latter, quad-core; the SoFIA LTE which is a quad-core Intel Atom processor with an integrated LTE module; and finally, the Cherry Trail, the next step up from the Bay Trail line of mobile processors.
