TechnologyTechnology NewsKaspersky Lab brings Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business to the Philippines

Kaspersky Lab, the world’s largest privately held vendor of end point protection solutions, unveiled its new generation of business security solutions designed to help Filipino businesses overcome the latest challenges in managing a secure and efficient network. Kaspersky unveiled its new flagship securirty platform for business customers, the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, which was built to provide the industry’s best protection from advanced malware and cybercrime, and also to combat complexity, another common enemy of IT secuirty.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business was built from the ground up and offers a business critical combination of deep protection, efficiency and seamless manageability. It was also built to scale up from SMES with their simple IT infrastructures and limited budgets, all the way to major corporations with large and complex networking needs. This new offering provides premium protection with lower costs and manpower resources to manage them.

“We are looking at the Philippines as one of the steadily-growing markets in the region. But the local economy is no different from mature markets elsewhere in the world. Philippine industries now rely heavily on information, the new oil—as they say and companies here, too, are investing on IT to drive business growth,” Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director for Kaspersky Lab, Southeast Asia region, said. “Unfortunately though, this opens up any organization, whether big or small, to business ricks which might end up crippling the business operations significantly. This is the age of high-profile targeted attacks directed towards the enterprise sector which means accessing classified, highly-valuable data translates to more money for cybercriminals than if they were to target individual Internet users. I am confident that our Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business will provide companies of all sizes the protection it needs against data breaches and malware attacks.”

The new and improved technologies in the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business solution also addressed the rise of the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend in the workplace, which is a departure from the more traditional workstation PC, and integrates laptops, tablets, and smartphones into the workplace to allow maximum mobility for the workforce. Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business has a three point plan of allowing IT administrators to see, control, and protect their networks.

These new and improved technologies include mobile security and device management, which allows IT admins to secure and protect data, even on employees’ own smartphones and tablets. It can be deployed remotely via centralized Mobile Device Management (MDM). Strengthened data encryption can secure individual files, folders, or even entire hard drives with Advanced Encryption Standard 256-bit encryption, which will ensure that data will remain secure in the event of loss or theft. This encryption can also be used on peripheral devices and removable drives as well.

Its Endpoint Control Tools is designed for admins to control application usage on their networks. Administrators can create custom policies around removable storage, USB drives and printers, and create on-device web policies to ensure users can browse the Internet safely on their corporate network or at home.

With Kaspersky Lab’s Systems Management, time-consuming tasks such as the installation of a new OS, network inventory, system provisioning, remote administration, network admission control and license management are now faster and less complex. Automated vulnerability scanning and patch management ensures that users and administrators are kept up-to-date and notified about critical security exposures.

“The release of the company’s flagship enterprise security product, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business will not only help local organizations implement better and secure policies at their fingertips but also mitigate the negative implications of emerging IT complexities and BYOD policies,” Bryan Sat, Kaspersky Lab Business Development Manager, Malaysia and the Philippines, said.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is available in three configurations, with the ability to add more features if necessary: Core, Select, and Advanced. Kaspersky Total Security for Business has all the features of Core, Select and Advanced along with additional protection features. For more information, please visit www.kaspersky.com.
