    One of Hollywood’s most acclaimed and prestigious studios, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), is now aboard the iflix ship.

    iflix announced recently that MGM has become an investor in the business. The investment includes the appointment of MGM chairman and chief executive officer, Gary Barber, to iflix’s advisory board and the companies’ extensive multi-year content licensing partnership.

    Through the agreement, MGM will continue to contribute premium in-demand television and film content to fill a portion in iflix’s growing library of top entertainment content.

    iflix Group CEO, Mark Britt said: “We are thrilled to have a studio partner and strategic investor of MGM’s caliber join the iflix family. MGM’s substantial weight, influence and resources in the industry will be a critical advantage for us in the development and execution of our strategy as we look to solidify our leadership in the region and expand into new markets.”
