It has been a year since Microsoft first announced that they are planning to make a live action series for the FPS game Halo, and just recently, the company has been reported to be making a deal with Showtime for the airing of the said series.
Microsoft’s Xbox is aiming to develop “Halo” as a high-end series, especially for their 48 million subscribers on their own entertainment service platform. However, there is still no final statement yet from Microsoft regarding whether the Halo series will first be aired in Showtime, then to Xbox window or vice-versa.
Reports also say that the production team for the Halo series will comprised of Hollywood veterans such as Steven Spielberg and Sergio Mimica-Gezzan of Pillars of the Earth.
