Smart announces new, more affordable prices for the LTE devices available to prepaid users.
The Smart Bro LTE Plug-It for desktop and notebook PCs will now retail for PHP 3,888 on prepaid. The device was previously available at PHP 5,995.
Meanwhile, the Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Pocket Wi-Fi, which can connect up to 10 mobile devices at a time, is now available at PHP 4,888—one thousand pesos lower than its original price.
Upon purchasing the device, the user gets 7 days of free access to unlimited LTE surfing with speeds of up to 42Mbps. This can be claimed by texting LTE 299 to 2200. The Smart Bro LTE SIM that is used with these devices costs PHP 350.
“Now that these broadband LTE devices are made more affordable for consumers, we expect more subscribers to join the LTE craze and experience life on the fast lane, giving them access to a wealth of new information and multimedia content that they can enjoy with their current devices,” commented Michelle Curran, Data and International Services Marketing Head at Smart.
Additionally, the Smart Bro Prepaid LTE SIM used for tablets, open-market pocket Wi-Fi devices and USB modems is currently offered at PHP 50 with PHP 20 of airtime load.
