The Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) announced that its 2017 Media Congress, dubbed “Ascendant,” will be held in Baguio City from September 6 to 9.

Now on its third year, the country’s largest gathering of media practitioners is expected to bring in more than 2,000 delegates and is the first to be a three and a half day affair. It will also be the first to be held outside Metro Manila.

This year’s Media Congress is themed around the rising power of media’s influence over behavior, culture and business, and harnessing this power for nation building and the greater good.

The congress will feature global and local speakers, all experts in their field, to present fresh new perspectives on the industry.

This is the year that we cement the leading role of media agencies on navigating this interconnected world to drive business growth for clients and real value to people. This is what Ascendant is all about–on how we rise and embrace this new level of influence. The whole board of the 2017 Media Congress sets high standards with our careful selection of relevant, impactful content, a fresh speaker line-up that is inclusive, and the overall congress experience,” said MSAP Media Congress Chairperson and IPG Mediabrands CEO Venus R. Navalta.

The congress will culminate in the second ICE Awards, MSAP’s award-giving body which aims to recognize outstanding work by media agencies across the Philippines. The association is now accepting entries with an early bird registration fee of PHP 5,000; standard registration fees are at PHP 7,000.

Ascendant is open to all, and registration is at PHP 15,000 covering the full three and a half days as well as entry to all side events and activities. MSAP is offering up an early bird discounted fee of PHP 8,000 which is available till June 30.
