PLDT HOME Bro has just named the Philippine Poomsae Taekwondo team, under the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA), as its newest brand ambassadors.
The 14 players along with the team’s Coach, Igor Mella, are the new faces of the brand as they take on 55 competitions (20 international, 15 national, and 20 regional) this year. The team has recently returned from the 3rd Asian Taekwondo Championships in Uzbekistan with two gold, four silver, and two bronze medals, placing the Philippines in the top four overall for Poomsae.
PLDT assistant vice president and head of HOME Fixed Wireless Solutions and Digital Marketing Ava Espanola said, “The Philippine Poomsae Taekwondo team is a source of pride and inspiration for the country. We’re happy to have them as our newest brand ambassadors as they show excellence amidst such high-speed lifestyles.”

The team joins PLDT HOME in its advocacy of youth development and excellence in sports. Coach Igor says, “There is a decreasing awareness of sports among the youth. It’s alarming, and it should be a concern for everybody. We need to communicate through the Internet that sports is important.”
Espanola concludes, “We encourage everyone to support the Philippine Poomsae Taekwondo team as they serve as inspirations for the youth to take up sports and aim for excellence. With fast and reliable connection, this challenge and call to action will be quick and easy to conquer.”
