Graphic-novel fans might be pleased with what Sony’s Playstation Network has been coming up lately. Powers is an investigative crime series about detectives seizing super-powered beings who use their abilities to commit crimes.
Michael Oeming and Brian Michael Bendis, Marvel writers of the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, created Powers. Sony Pictures Television is said to produce 10 episodes of Powers, which will be available for download on PlayStation Network.
Other than making console games readily available, PSN, with more than 150 active users, is eyeing to pioneer the movies and TV shows distribution as well. Sony’s original content Powers is in line with the upcoming launch of their pay-TV service, which is comparable to Netflix on being an entertainment outlet.
