All over the world, gamer wallets are shivering with fear. It’s about that time of year again, and details on the Steam Summer Sale have leaked online. According to a report on Russian social network site VK, the Steam Summer sale is going to kick off on Thursday, 11 June, at 1300 EST, all the way until 22 June, at 1300 EST, with an “Encore Sale” on the 20th.
Both eight- and twenty-four- hour discounts are to be expected during the sale period, with fans being given the power to vote on which titles are to go on sale next.
This sale is great news, particularly given the recent announcement of an immensely relaxed return policy that lets buyers refund a game for a much broader set of reasons, given a few qualifying criteria.
If you intend to buy a few titles, you should totally wait a little while. Your wallet will thank you. Sort of.
