Sony yesterday concluded its major Gamescom press conference, where the attendees got to view some new trailers for games that were also shown in E3, as well as a couple of indie titles and price cuts for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. Towards the end, the company announced that its PlayStation 4 console will be arriving on the 15th of November in North America and on the 29th in Europe.
Sony said that the console would launch in 32 countries in time for the holiday season, though it didn’t specify any dates. One million pre-orders have already been placed for the new console.
The PS4 will cost USD 399. Microsoft’s competing Xbox One, which also arrives in November (no specific date yet), will cost USD 499.99.
