Razer and Queen of PH Cosplay come together for C. Visayas quake victims

Razer C.E.O., Co-founder and Creative Director Min-Liang Tan visited the Philippines shortly after the devastating quake that hit the Central Visayas region and leveled several historical churches. Determined to show the world that gamers are people who can make a difference, Min donated all the proceeds from the sale of Razer apparel at the recently-concluded Pinoy Gaming Festival. Razer raised USD 5,850 and generously split the difference to come up with USD 10,000 to help the plight of our brothers and sisters affected by the terrible tragedy.

“I applaud the gamers in the Philippines who stepped up and contributed to this cause,” said Tan. “They have definitely defied the stay-at-home gamer stereotype and played a significant role during this time of disaster. I am heartened by the passionate fans in the country. We sold out of many popular apparel designes and sizes on the first day, and I am positive we could have rased more otherwise.”

To help drum up additional support, Razer sought the help of none other than Alodia, who made an appearance during the event, as well as her sister Ashley who fronted an amazing performance with her band.

“The recent earthquake has made me realize that there are many gamers in the Philippines who are willing to do their part to help those in need,” said Alodia. “My sister and I are deeply inspired by their incredible spirit and we are proud to be a part of Razer’s initiative.

The funds raised will be donated to the Philippine Red Cross to help in their relief operations.
