Redefining the future of fashion and technology, Sony Philippines unveiled last March 12 their newest lineup of innovations, starting off with their newest flagship phone, the Xperia Z2, alongside a compact version of their Z1, the Xperia Z2 tablet, and the Sony SmartBand.
Included with these devices is Sony’s Lifelog application, which allows users to track all their daily activities, from tracks played, friends met, miles run and other daily tasks.
“Innovation is about designing with the purpose to create something better and with the Sony SmartBand and Xperia Z2, we feel that we have not only raised the bar for wearable technology but have made life even more entertaining and fun with these devices,” shared Vincent Dela Cruz, Assistant Manager for Mobile Communications.
Embodying the lifestyle of being fashionably connected 24/7, Sony PH announced its newest Xperia brand ambassadors, PH fashion icons Laureen and Liz Uy.
Stressed in the launch are the details that matter the most, including waterproof capabilities, and pioneering specs in the market. Sony Xperia Z2 is now equipped with a 20.7MP camera and 4k video recording capacities, making every detail sharp and vivid in a stunning 5.2-inch display. Sony’s flagship phone will come in black, white and purple colors starting May 2014 with a sticker price of PHP 33,990.
Unveiled at the event as well is the Xperia Z1C, a compact version of their previous flagship phone, with all the features, and none the bulk. It packs the same 20.7MP camera as that of the Xperia Z2, all packed with Sony’s latest innovations, Social Camera, Social Live. Sony Xperia Z1 Compact will be available starting last week of March with a price of PHP 25,490.
Sony also released the Xperia Z2 Tablet, the world’s slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet, and is also the first tablet to use Live Colour LED display that provides bright natural colors and perfectly sharp images which can also be attributed to Sony’s latest BRAVIA TV technology. It is also combined with the world’s first Digital Noise Cancelling headset (sold separately) that reduces ambient noise. Available in black color, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will be available in the market starting the mid April 2014 with an SRP of Php 33,190 for the LTE version.
Sony also introduced its new line up of smartphones with premium quality at mid-range prices. Sony’s audio heritage can be clearly heard in Xperia E1 as key technologies come together with the 100Db speaker to produce a louder, cleaner sound that can hold its own in any environment. Xperia E1 is available in black, white and purple colors beginning in March 2014 with a cash SRP of Php 6,590 (single SIM) and Php 7490 (dual SIM)
While the Xperia T2 Ultra is made for music and movie lovers, it perfectly balances the need for a large screen with portability and battery endurance, all crammed into its stunning 6-inch HD TRILUMINOS display.
Last but not least, is the Xperia M2 bagging the world’s slimmest 4G smartphone in its class title. It combines the ultra-fast Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPUs and 4G LTE for fast performance and a 2300mAh battery with STAMINA Mode 3.0. Xperia M2 is available for a cash SRP of Php 14,190 starting mid-May in black, white and purple.
