Team Suzuki Pilipinas takes on their series of international races in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2015. After a successful test in Sepang, the team is ready to take on the international racing scene with a lineup comprising of riders from all over the Philippines.
Representing Luzon is National Road Race Championship 115 Super Stock Category overall champion Enzo Rellosa. From The Visayas region is triple champion in the RUGP Cebu, Mario Borbon, and representing Mindanao is Suzuki Philippine Challenge, Raider R150 One Make Race qualifying champion April King Mascardo.
Backing the riders in the championship are big names in the local motorcycle racing scene. Yoyong Buncio, of the YRS Racing Team, Bobby MEncuas of the BMR racing Team, and Rico Cagaan of the VMAN Racing team will all be accompanying the riders to give them support and guidance as they go international for the first time.
The team left for the first series of races yesterday, 16 April, and will be facing 14 other riders from 7 other countries in the region.
The Suzuki Asian Challenge is an event of the ARRC, and is a single-make competition that will see all participants riding the Suzuki Raider R150. The series will serve as a pool from which potential riders for the Suzuki MotoGP racing Team can be found and developed.
