Just months after Yahoo announced that they’re severing ties with Google services, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is reportedly wanting to supplant Google as Apple’s mobile products’ default search engine.

Although the deal is not yet official, reports say that the company has already prepared a detailed pitch on how the search application would look like on iPhones. If this partnership pushes through, it could definitely be a game changer in terms of search market shares.

While Yahoo’s mobile search is tied with Microsoft, Yahoo’s desktop search is still powered by Microsoft’s Bing – which has reportedly been  disappointing Mayer with regards to revenue, the company has been currently taking action to develop another personal assistant software, like Siri and Cortana, which will include natural language processing.
