Global tech brand Lenovo rolls out the latest smartphone-powered augmented reality game at IFA 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
Thanks to the Lenovo Mirage AR, players can now live their superhero dreams. The free-to-play Marvel Dimension of Heroes features six legendary Marvel superheroes—Doctor Strange, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Star-Lord— taking on infamous super villains standing right before them. Players can explore an original Marvel story in Story mode where Dread Dormammu, Lord of the Dark Dimension, launches a surprise attack on Earth with fellow antagonists Loki, Ronan the Accuser, Ultron Prime, and the Winter Soldier.
In survival mode, however, players use their powers to fend off waves of powerful enemies. They all compete to achieve the highest score and rise up the game’s global online leaderboards. They can also partner up with a friend in Co-Op Mode, where they each play as a Marvel hero battling the forces of evil side-by-side in the same room while competing against each other for high scores.
Each player must be equipped with the Lenovo Mirage AR headset, two universal controllers, and a tracking beacon. They should also be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and must download the latest version of the Marvel Dimension of Heroes app on a compatible smartphone. It is highly recommended that players should stand side by side in the same direction, facing the tracking beacons about four feet away.
The headset pairs with the Lenovo Mirage AR Universal Controllers which are worn over the knuckles to give players a greater sense of control over their weapons and superpowers. Giving much freedom on player’s movement, the new dual universal controllers enable players to punch, slice, and blast their way through exhilarating battles while ducking and dodging enemy attacks with their both hands. As a result, each one of the six superheroes gives a distinct character and playing experience with entirely different move sets and controls.
