Canon has just announced the local availability of its most compact and lightweight full-frame mirrorless interchangeable camera yet, the EOS RP.

Tipping the scales at 485 grams, this addition to the EOS full-frame series will give mirrorless cameras within its class a run for their money. At the the core of the camera is the brand’s proprietary DIGIC 8 image processor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, these work together to bring high quality output with up to 4K resolution as well as support high ISO speeds and more. Also part of the EOS R system technology is an RF lens mount with a short short flange focal distance of 20 mm.

The EOS RP comes with a 26.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and a native ISO range of 100-40,000 that can be expanded to an ISO range of 50-102,400. It can shoot Ultra High Definition 4K at 24p/25p video footage. And as it is a mirrorless camera, users can expect optical excellence with easy operability.

“Smaller, lighter, yet packed with superior features that both delivers unmatched performance, the new Canon EOS RP and Mini Photo Printer introduces new imaging and printing possibilities to more and more Filipino customers,” said Benny Yu, CMPI head of Consumer Imaging and Information division.

The EOS RP can be had for PHP 89,998 for the body and PHP 156,998 with a RF24-105 mm USM kit lens.
