Davao chain of seafood restaurants Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps opened a new branch at the second level of O’Square, Greenhills Shopping Center last May 11.

The Greenhills branch is the restaurant’s sixth, and the third in Metro Manila. The restaurant chain started to gain traction in recent years for its Western seafood boil fare where boiled shrimp and crabs are served by the bucket-load on a table covered in wax paper.

Highlighting Davao’s seafood, the restaurant designed a menu mixing local favorites with the weekend crab and shrimp boils popular in the United States, but with recipes redesigned for Filipino tastes. The crab and shrimp boils can be cooked in the restaurant’s signature Cajun sauce, garlic fried, in sambal, and the newly added garlic lemon sauce and salted duck egg offerings.

In terms of beverages, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps has partnered with Dole to serve up unlimited pineapple juice as a welcome hit of acidity to cut the richness of the crustacean dishes. For those who seek something unique, the restaurant has a Nestle Mixology juice bar which allows diners to design their own drinks.

At the launch of the Greenhills branch, restaurant owner Anthony Ang announced that they had also partnered up with Emperador to install a wine preservation machine so diners can try out different glasses of Barefoot wine from Cabernet Sauvignon to Zinfandel.
