The Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor and importer of BMW in the country, recently launched the all-new BMW 5 Series last July 4, 2017 at the BGC Arts Center in Taguig.
Part of the BMW Series are three new cars that are now available in the Philippine market. For unlimited driving pleasure, the 2-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine with 190 hp and 400 will be powering both variants of the BMW 520d, the Luxury trim and the M Sport package. For the top-of-the-line BMW 530d there’s the 3-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 265 hp and an impressive torque of 620 Nm. Driving dynamics are taken to the next level with BMW’s new and powerful engines. The 5 Series run on BMW’s TwinTurbo engines that come with the benefit of lower fuel consumption when compared to the previous generation. Likewise, the 8-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic function provides highly advanced technologies that ensure a consistently pleasant and seamless shifting driving experience.
Built for the businessman for tomorrow, the BMW 5 Series feature an elegantly sporty and sophisticated exterior design. Even at first glance, the design intention of the new BMW 5 series cars is clear; precision, luxury and dynamism are put at a priority. For a broader look, the cars’ bonnet extends to the Active Air Stream Kidney Grille where it meets the Adaptive LED Headlights seamlessly. Bold lines, on the other hand, adds to the cars’ strong and masculine presence. As with all the other BMW cars, the 5 Series also feature BMW’s signature design, the Hofmeister Kink.
Comfort meets elegance best describes the 5 Series cutting edge interior. For the BMW 520d variants, there’s the Leather Dakota upholstery, and Leather Nappa for the BMW 530d. Space improvements include an expanded knee room for back passengers, a wider middle seat, and a narrow transmission tunnel. For setting the right mood, the cars are lit with customizable LED lights. Adding to this is BMW’s Ambient Air Package that offers a variety of fragrances.
Other features of the 5 Series include a lightweight technology, a 12.3” full digital instrument display, BMW’s iDrive System, and the a display key that’s able to provide information on fuel. The key is likewise capable of providing parking assistance, and aircon control.
The BMW 520d Luxury retails for PHP 4,590,000; the BMW 520d M Sport for PHP 4,990,000; and the BMW 530d Luxury for PHP 6,390,000.
